Almost 10 weeks... 1/4 of the way through! :)

Me with my 8 week "bump"

Sprout's first Baylor outfit... many more to come... we are breeding Sprout to be a second generation Baylor Bear (I am determined to be the next Baylor Family!)

So... Sprout is 9 weeks and 5 days old... he is the size of a large grape! His heart is forming it's four chambers this week and his limbs are starting to look like arms and legs. Sprout is still making mom pretty sick... but I am learning how to deal with it. The hardest part is working 12 hour shifts and being on my feet for 12 hours with no real time to eat. But, if I get a chance to eat at least every 3-4 hours, I am usually good. I keep saying that Sprout is an eater! I have finally gained weight! 1.5 pounds... halfway to my 1st trimester goal. I never thought I would be excited about gaining weight, but I have been so concerned that Sprout is not getting enough nutrients because I can't keep much down. Thank goodness for prenatal vitamins! Even though I have only gained 1.5 pounds, my clothes are definitely getting tighter... especially in the chest region! My amazing friend Leah had a baby 11 months ago and she just gave me a HUGE box of maternity clothes!! I have started to wear the jeans just because they are SO comfortable... it's like wearing sweatpants!

Today we went down to Waco to watch the Baylor men take on Oklahoma... I got Mike tickets to the BU vs. OU game last year in Norman and we got spanked, so I was hoping this game would have a better outcome. We got to go to the Olive Branch and I finally got a Chicken Pesto Sandwhich (I have been craving this!). We also got a steal on cute maternity shirts at Spice and an adorable Baylor onsie from the bookstore for Sprout (also how we are going to annouce our big news to my parents in 12 days!). Baylor whooped up on the Sooners... we won by 30 points!! And I felt good the whole game... maybe Sprout really likes Chicken Pesto and Baylor Basketball!

I get to work a week of day shift next week and I am so excited! Started telling people at work last week and everyone was a little shocked. There are 2 preggos already on the unit. They are like 20 and 19 weeks... so everyone is saying something is in the water! Hopefully will be switching to day shift sometime in the near future... my body would love to be on a normal sleep schedule. I will take the pay cut and hard work any day in exchange for normalcy!

I have my 10 week OBGYN appointment on Thursday. Mike will be out of town, which I am so bummed about... but hopefully we'll get another sono and I'll be able to post it! I can't wait to see our little Sprout! : )
